Hello! My name is Todd Beuckens. I’m an English teacher, the creator of ELLLO.org, and the listening coach for this course.

This is not a study course.
This is a training course.

I’m not here to be a teacher. Teachers give you things to study.

Coaches give you things to do.

What makes this course different?

• You will train, not study
• You will listen more and read less
• Activities are short, clear, and doable
• The goal is real English skills, not memorization

Think of this course like going to the gym.
Each activity trains a different skill: listening, grammar, and pronunciation.
We focus on practice, not long explanations.

How to use the course

Don’t watch everything first.

Instead:

1. Watch one short guide
2. Go down and do one activity
3. Move on step by step

This way, you learn by doing, not by reading.

About grammar

Each unit has a grammar focus, but grammar is not the main goal.
Grammar is a tool, not the target.

You don’t need perfect grammar to speak good English.
What you need is strong listening and active engagement.

One important rule 🚨

I say this a lot in the course:

“Reading is cheating.”

Reading helps understanding, but real language starts with listening.
You learned your first language by listening first — English is the same.

So in this course:

• Listen first
• Read less
• Train with sound, not silence

Time commitment

• 1 unit a day
• About 20–30 minutes per unit
• Finish the course in about 3 weeks

Final message

You’ve probably studied English before.
This time, don’t study — train.

I’m not your teacher.
I’m your coach.

Do the activities.
